While in Bali we got a chance to connect with the locals there. i got the opportunity to be part of their Traditional holiday called Galungan & Kuningan, major Balinese Hindu festivals celebrating the victory of good over evil, this is when ancestral spirits visit, marked by beautiful penjor (bamboo poles) and offerings, occurring every 210 days (about six months) on the Balinese calendar, making for vibrant cultural experiences with family gatherings and temple visits. I was dressed in their traditional holiday and participated, as the family i encountered with taught me their culture and ways. This particular family was very nice and welcoming. the moment i arrived to the village they welcomed me by offering me food to eat and even cleaned out a room for me to sleep in after meeting the whole family at the village.
